Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is a qualified nurse that has advanced in education and skills. APRNs are registered nurses, therefore, the transition from being a registered nurse to an APRN is important. The transition from a registered nurse to APRN is a long and stressful process. Development and integration of professional role components occurs after one year of practice. APRNs gain high level of identification and interpretation of diseases after multiple experience with similar cases of the disease. The development phase is characterized by the challenge of classifying a registered nurse with APRN at the same category.
