In Year 3 Public Health institutions in Nairobi County, Community Health Nursing oversees the teaching, examination, and supervision of students completing Community Health Nursing practicals.
Students are exposed to open-air markets, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and the national vaccination stockpile under the supervision of the Unit during their community visits (s). For each cohort of undergraduate students, the teaching staff oversees community health assessment activities, sometimes called “community diagnosis.” The Unit conducts research on current public and community health issues, both directly and through the oversight of student research projects.
